Trauma Therapy

Trauma can change how you experience yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. After a highly stressful or traumatic experience, you may feel like you’re not the same person you once were.

You may feel isolated, scared, numb, easily startled, or constantly on the lookout for danger. Memories of what happened may feel intrusive or overwhelming. You may feel disconnected from your life, your body, or the people around you.

If this describes you, you are not alone.

Common Symptoms of PTSD

Trauma may show up as:

Feel Connected & Supported

In trauma therapy, safety comes first.

You will feel validated. You will feel seen and heard. Your voice matters.

If you entrust me with your care, I’ll work with you to create a sense of safety before moving into deeper trauma work. We’ll go at a pace that supports your nervous system and honors your comfort level.

Learn to Regulate Your Nervous System

Many trauma survivors struggle with intense emotional ups and downs. Others feel numb, disconnected, or shut down.

I can help you learn skills to come back to your center, relate to your emotions in a healthier way, and begin feeling more grounded in your body and your life.

Find Resilience & Growth After Adversity

CPT helps you identify trauma-related beliefs that may be keeping you stuck. You’ll learn how to challenge and modify those beliefs, develop more adaptive ways of understanding what happened, and begin moving forward with more freedom and self-compassion.

As I continue to pursue continuing education in Internal Family Systems, I have started to incorporate "parts work" into my treatment plan with trauma survivors. I am continuing to broaden my approach so that I can offer a wide variety of tools.

If CPT is not the right fit for you, I can recommend other effective treatments for PTSD that may better support your needs.

When emotional safety and nervous system regulation are established, I may recommend Cognitive Processing Therapy, an evidence-based treatment for PTSD.

Healing doesn’t mean pretending it didn’t happen. It means learning how to live with more safety, connection, and choice.
