Anxiety Disorder Therapy

Anxiety is a normal emotion that all of us experience. But for some people, anxiety becomes overwhelming, persistent, and hard to quiet.

You may find yourself avoiding things that would actually make your life fuller. You may feel trapped in “what if” thoughts, constantly trying to predict or control the future. You may be physically present in your life, but mentally caught in fear, worry, or worst-case scenarios.

Over time, anxiety can start to shrink your world.

  • Constant overthinking
  • Panic or fear of panic
  • Avoidance
  • Social anxiety
  • Phobias
  • Obsessive thoughts or repetitive behaviors
  • Fear of uncertainty
  • Difficulty relaxing or being present
  • Feeling controlled by your thoughts

When Anxiety Takes Over

Anxiety may show up as:

Sometimes we develop patterns that seem helpful in the moment, like avoidance, reassurance-seeking, or trying to control every possible outcome. But those patterns often reinforce anxiety over time.

Therapy can help you understand these cycles and begin responding differently.

Treatment Approach

Exposure Therapy

Exposure therapy is often a frontline treatment for anxiety disorders, including social anxiety, panic disorder, phobias, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Through exposure work, you’ll learn to gradually face fears, increase your tolerance for anxiety and uncertainty, and build confidence in your ability to cope. I’ll coach you through this process so you feel supported, challenged, and never alone in the work.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT can help you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we’ll look at patterns that may be keeping you stuck, then work on shifting thoughts and behaviors in ways that are more realistic, helpful, and aligned with the life you want.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness helps you change your relationship with your thoughts. Instead of being pulled into every anxious thought as if it is truth, you’ll learn how to observe your thoughts, create space, and respond with more intention.

Anxiety treatment often includes a combination of evidence-based strategies. I’ll collaborate with you to understand your specific symptoms, goals, and needs, then tailor treatment in a way that supports you while also helping you grow.
